From Saturday, April 14 to Monday, April 16, Lawrence was hit by the most intense snowstorm in Appleton history—Blizzard Evelyn. Most of campus was shut down over the weekend and classes were cancelled on Monday as an estimated 21.2 inches of snow blanketed the Appleton area and made travel throughout the region dangerous.
