Who wrote the headline for the May 9th column? Apparently, the old way of learning to spell is no longer used by modern youth. How could anyone attending Lawrence not know how to spell “receive”? About 80 years ago, I learned “I before E except after C” and I can never forget it. There are rare exceptions but one soon recognizes them. Editors, do your job!
