Based on your previous experience, how do you think having a music conservatory on campus changes our campus dynamic?
There are so many ways the conservatory impacts the Lawrence community. The obvious is that music performance provides essential ways for the campus to gather, reflect, consider, mourn and celebrate. Bachelor of Music students infuse our community with the creative impulse, their interests in entrepreneurship resonate beyond the confines of the conservatory. The study of music also influences many disciplines at Lawrence outside of the conservatory. Music is one of the defining characteristics of the university and we are better for it.
