Stuck Everywhere

It's a strange feeling to know
that these little slips of paper
with a strip of adhesive
rule my life.

They sit on my desk
ever vigilant, awaiting
the moment when I realize
I'm about to forget something.

Scrambling, scribbling it down
never letting thoughts go
away, only sticking it to
my computer

my door
anywhere I will see it
anywhere I will remember
just to keep that tiny reminder.

It's usually something a bit innocuous
like "grab cash" or "meeting 1 p.m."
and I have it in my phone
but just a little poke

a little reminder
of what is about to happen
so that I can remember the little
things that matter more than you could know.
