Taken from the Lawrence University Archives, this photo depicts the marching band from what was then Lawrence College as they make some noise along College Avenue. Players in uniform carry a variety of percussion, brass and even woodwind instruments — atypical for marching band instrumentation — as they parade proudly despite the conditions of a Wisconsin winter.
