Amnesty International

Amnesty International is a human rights group that promotes equal rights for all and the protection of all humans’ rights given to them under the UN Declaration of Human Rights. Our main activities consist of writing letters in response to reported human rights violations. We also hold lectures and promote the education of the Lawrence student body to what is happening in our world and that these violations are occurring.

This coming year we hope to attend the regional conference in October and to host Senator Russ Feingold. We meet Tuesday nights at 9:00 in the library. For more information, contact Naomi Kalies (x7662) or Mandy Haplin (halpina@lawrence.edu).
