LUCC presidential and vice-presidential elections approach

Elections for the next president and Vice president of LUCC will take place second week of second term. All students interested in running for these positions should pick up their nomination packet at the union Info desk. Students need to get their nominations into the Info Desk by Wednesday January 5th at Midnight. Then students must get their signatures of students and faculty who will nominate the candidate into the info desk by Friday January 7th at Midnight as well.For those candidates who do run, a Candidates Forum will be taking place Sunday January 9th at a time and place to be determined later. As well as candidate statements will be appearing in the January 7th edition of *** The Lawrentian***. The election will be three days during the next week, as set by the Polling Elections and Legislation committee and approval by the general Council of LUCC.

Students are also encouraged to continue to apply for openings in standing, faculty and trustee committees. There are still vacancies. Applications can be picked up at the Union Info Desk, and applications should be returned as soon as possible.
