Lawrence University volleyball player Jenny Burris turned in a pair of outstanding games at the Midwest Conference Tournament this past weekend at St. Norbert College. The senior from Gurnee, Ill., played libero in the opening match against Carroll College and recorded 21 digs. Gharrity McNett helped the Lawrence University hockey team to a weekend split of a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association series with Northland College. McNett, a junior from Waterford, had a goal and three assists on the weekend. He had an assist in Friday’s 4-3 loss to Northland, and then scored his first collegiate goal and added a pair of assists in Saturday’s 5-1 win over the Lumberjacks.
