Letter from the Editor

Does anything make you livid? Make you laugh? Have you always wanted people to see things your way? If so, put it in writing and submit it to The Lawrentian’s first ever column contest. We’re looking for dedicated writers willing to share their views on life at Lawrence.
The contest will run for two weeks, during which time the authors will remain anonymous. Columns should be no more than 450 words long and must be submitted to lawrentian@lawrence.edu by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26 and Tuesday, Oct. 3. Please give e-mails the subject heading “column contest submission.”
Ballots will be provided at the bottom of next week’s Opinions and Editorials page and will be collected in the suggestion box on the first floor of the library. The winner of the contest will be announced in the Oct. 6 issue and will be awarded a weekly column in The Lawrentian. Writers, start writing, and readers, don’t forget to cast your votes and tell us what you would like to see in this year’s Lawrentian.
