Some students have all the luck! The “biggest” speaker to visit Appleton when I was a student was Angela Davis. After all the tempest that having a real-life Communist in Appleton caused, her speech was a disappointing rehash of tired ideas.I am proud to see that the next President of the United States is visiting my alma mater. What a wonderful opportunity students and “townies” will have to ask meaningful questions – and provide meaningful ideas to our future national leader. Make the most of it.
