At first, Rich Jones signed up for a radio show because “it seemed like a good way to waste time,” but the more he did the show, the more he realized it meant more than that to him. He realized the show gave him the opportunity to be exposed to more new music and expose campus to the music he was passionate about.
The show seems to be a personal outlet for Jones’s love of music, especially hip-hop and electronic. This past week, Jones continued broadcasting music he was passionate about by focusing on the music made and enjoyed by Dave Golub, who was close to Jones.
Through the show, he stays close to good Hip-Hop and also close to campus. At the moment, Rich is very into new stuff from The Knife and Spank Rock, and classic jams from Ghostface and Devin the Dude. By listening to The Chill every Wednesday from 10:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m., you can not only hear great tunes but pick up some of Rich Jones’s passion for music.
