The Student Athlete Advisory Committee is an NCAA-sponsored group comprised of one representative from each varsity athletic team that serves as a link between athletic administration, athletes and the greater Lawrence community.
Wednesday, May 7 at 10 p.m. in the Coffeehouse, SAAC will be auctioning off athletes to raise money for Special Olympics Skills Day. Attendees will also be able to purchase LU Athletics T-shirts at the event.
Saturday, May 17 is the annual Special Olympics Skills Day. It will be from 10 a.m. to noon, including a lunch for all Special Olympics and Lawrence athletes. All Lawrence athletes are required to help out at this event.
A reminder to graduating SAAC representatives: Please find a replacement and bring him or her to the next meeting, which will be Thursday, May 1 at 11:30 a.m. in the small dining room at Lucy’s. All athletes are welcome at SAAC’s biweekly meetings.
