Fleshman falls short
by Andrew KarreSenior Justin Fleshman finished third in the race for the City of Appleton’s second district aldermanic seat. Fleshman, the first Lawrentian in recent memory to make such a run received 30 votes while incumbent Helen Nagler received 279 votes. Steve Pugh took 32 and Edward Igle rounded out the field with seven votes.

Only 15.9 percent of eligible voters in the second district, which includes many campus residents not registered in their hometown districts, turned out to the polls on Tuesday.
