As the music of the twentieth century is still ringing in our ears, causing many to complain bitterly and lose any semblance of patience for new music, a group of us want to compose and participate in the musical culture of the twenty-first century. We are a student chapter of the Society of Composers International (SCI) and we promote interest in and the cultivation of music composition. Both music majors and non-majors can join, and we work to help each other out with performance and recording opportunities, sharing musical insights and constructive criticism. Most recently, we attended the SCI student composer Regional Conference, and members attended the SEAMUS music festival. For more information, contact Devin Burke at x7168.
