PRIDE offers information, support, and fun

PRIDE is the organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight ally students. Meetings are held every Thursday night at 9:00 in the Diversity Center. Some activities for the year include celebration of National Coming Out Day, National Freedom to Marry Day, World AIDS Day, Gay History Month, and PRIDE Week. Other fun annual events include traveling to the Midwest Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Ally College Conference (MGLBTACC), a Winter Formal, trips to the local gay-friendly dance club, movies, picnics, and casual social gatherings.PRIDE creates a highly supportive environment for all students struggling with sexual identity and gender issues and offers a space for students to explore and learn by talking to other students and taking advantage of the books, periodicals, and movies in the Resource Room.

PRIDE is looking forward to another great year and hope many will join!
