While initial reports were grim, further examinations showed that the Fulham midfielder will not need surgery and will be healthy in time for this summer’s World Cup in South Africa.

SPOKANE, Wash. – Dan Fitzgerald, the longtime coach of the Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball team, died Tuesday at age 67. Fitzgerald, who brought Gonzaga to its first NCAA tournament in 1995 and personally recruited school legend John Stockton, built the Gonzaga team from relative unknown status into a mid-major powerhouse over 20 years as coach.
