Enterprising Lawrentians recently discovered that Computer Services is testing a new internet service that allows access to Lawrence Email accounts over the web. Available at http://www.lawrence.edu/webmail this new service is similar to YahooMail or Hotmail. Presently Computer Services is testing this product before making it available to the wider campus.
Although the original hope for Computer Services was to support traveling faculty and staff, this website is increasingly popular with off-campus Lawrentians. Currently Computer Services does not have the resources to support the entire campus using this product in lieu of a pc or mac-based email program, but this might change in the future.
