To the editor and other fellow Lawrentians:Here’s an idea for all of us. Wisconsin, and the Fox Valley in particular, have a large Hmong population. The Hmongs are a wonderful addition to our communities and this country, and we owe them a huge debt of gratitude for their help to Americans during the Vietnam war era. The U.S. government, in turn, promised them help and homes here, but approximately 20,000 remain in Laos, being tortured and killed by a brutal government still seeking revenge for actions of the 1970s.
