The staff of The Lawrentian wish to express our deep sorrow concerning the recent tragic death of Kwabena “Kobby” Buanya. As an extremely involved member of the community, his presence and activism will be missed, even by those who never had the chance to meet him. His involvement in Lawrence International, the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, and the men’s soccer team was admired by many. As this is a promotional half-issue, his story won’t be covered here. We will run a more in-depth memorial article in the first full issue next week.
