V-Day is part of a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day generates attention for issues such as incest, rape, battery, female genital mutilation and sexual slavery. We also promote sexual awareness. Lawrence’s V-Day chapter produces an annual production of “The Vagina Monologues,” fundraises for local and national charities, and sponsors on-campus activities such as sexuality awareness workshops. V-Day meets each week and is open to females AND males.
