zLUCC Constitutional Referendum results announced – emg -mts – mcb

The referendum was conducted via Voyager survey. E-mails were sent to both faculty and students to notify them of the referendum. The survey was configured to limit voting to eligible students and faculty, and ran from Fri., March 30 until midnight on the night of Fri., April 6. The amendments and rationale were linked from each survey page, and are attached to the bottom of this report. The results of the survey are as follows:
Question 1, “Treasurer’s Discretionary Disbursements”: (244 votes total)
For: Faculty — 23 (96% of faculty), Students — 206 (94% of students)
Against: Faculty — 1 (4% of faculty), Students — 14 (6% of students)
Result: Amendment passes (required: 66% of both student and faculty votes cast in favor).
Question 2, “Duties of Finance Committee”: (225 votes total)
For: Faculty — 20 (91% of faculty), Students — 186 (92% of students)
Against: Faculty — 2 (9% of faculty), Students — 17 (8% of students)
Result: Amendment passes (required: 66% of both student and faculty votes cast in favor).
