Feature photos: Peace protests on College Ave

Lawrence students began gathering in the frigid, early morning hours of Saturday, January 18. They started out from outside of Seeley G. Mudd Library, and from there, they marched through Appleton on their way to join others from the community who were protesting the potential war in Iraq. The protesters carried signs bearing American flags, the word “Peace,” and “No Blood for Oil,” as driversby honked their horns and the media covered the event.
