Volleyball
The women lost all three games against visiting conference powerhouse St. Norbert’s College. The women were in all three games however, as they lost 30-22, 30-25, and 30-25. The Vikings still have an outside shot at making the conference tournament as they finish up their conference season against Beloit and Carroll. They will need to win both matches, but there is hope for this year’s young Vikings squad.Tennis
The Women’s tennis team took part in the MWC Championships held in Madison, Wis. this past weekend. Junior Emma Kent led the Vikings as she finished in second place for the number six singles and teamed with Emily Dalton to place second at the number three doubles.
Junior No. 1 singles player Hanah McCarthy won her consolation match as did fellow junior No. 4 Tara Lahtinen. The women combined to finish sixth in the team standings.

Cross Country
The men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Wisconsin Private College Championships held at Concordia University over the weekend. The women had a very successful weekend, finishing fourth out of 16 teams. The men placed seventh out of 13.

Leading the way for the women and earning all state honors were seniors Joy Manweiler and Catherine Marinac along with freshman Abby Fisher. Manweiler had the top time for the Vikings as she finished the 5,000-meter course with a time of 20 minutes and 27 seconds, good for fourteenth overall.
Freshman David Golub led the men with a time of 28 minutes and 23 seconds on the 8,000-meter course. Golub’s time was good for 24th overall. Senior Evan Jacobson wasn’t far behind, finishing with a time of 28 minutes and 54 seconds (34th overall). The Vikings’ next meet will be at the Midwest Conference Championships, held at Illinois College.
